GLOBAL INDIAN LISTS
Curated lists of the people redefining what Indian origin means worldwide.
An overview
Global Indian Lists is the home for our editorial lists. Each list curates the people of Indian origin shaping a specific field — business, cinema, science, sport, music, wealth and beyond. Some of the people you will recognise immediately. Others you should. The intent is the same across every list: spotlight the range of Indian talent on the world stage and link to the fuller story of each person.
These lists differ from our Top 100 in two ways. The Top 100 is a single representative honour list, deliberately broad. The lists below are field specific and updated as the world changes — new CEOs are appointed, new films are released, new athletes are selected for Olympic squads. Each list is reviewed quarterly and refreshed when meaningful changes warrant.
Our selections are guided by the same principles that govern all editorial work at Global Indian: excellence in the field, scale of problems solved, contribution to Brand India, and lasting cultural or social impact. Many deserving names will not appear on any individual list. That is the nature of curated work. We invite you to read these as starting points, not final words — and to suggest additions through the Tell Your Story link below.

FAQ:
What are Global Indian Lists?
Global Indian Lists are curated, field specific editorial collections that spotlight people of Indian origin shaping different parts of the world. Each list focuses on one theme — Fortune 500 CEOs, Hollywood actors, NASA scientists and so on — with verified facts and links to fuller profiles.
How are these lists different from the Top 100 Global Indians?
The Top 100 is a single representative honour list across all fields. The lists below are field specific and updated quarterly. Together they form a complete picture: the Top 100 honours range, the field lists honour depth.
How often are the lists updated?
Each list is reviewed quarterly. We refresh when meaningful changes occur — a new CEO appointment, a major film release, a new Olympic squad. The publish and modified dates are visible on each list page.
How do you select who appears on each list?
Selections are made by the Global Indian editorial team using four principles: excellence in the field, scale of problems solved, contribution to Brand India, and lasting cultural or social impact. We use publicly verifiable sources including Forbes, official company filings, peer reviewed publications and respected media.
Can I suggest someone for a list?
Yes. Use the Tell Your Story link to share a profile suggestion or your own journey. Our editorial team reviews every submission, particularly for the field specific lists.
Are these lists ranked or curated?
Some lists are ranked (Richest Indian Americans by Forbes net worth) and some are thematic curations (Indian Classical Musicians on Global Stages). The list title clarifies the format. In all cases the inclusion criteria are editorial, not algorithmic.
