Indian origin photographer bags top award

Photographer Dayanita Singh has won photography’s top honours, the 2022 Hasselblad Prize. She is the first artist of South Asian descent to win the $206,500 award.

Seventeen-year-old Adhya Shastry is the winner of the BBC Young Dancer 2022, which saw 10 talented finalists between the ages of 17 and 24 compete for the title at London's Roundhouse.
